Here is a brief list of the extras you can enjoy during this package:
Altitude Acclimatization: It is vital to arrive in Cusco at least 2 or 3 days in advance so your body can gradually adapt to the 3,400-meter altitude.
Dietary Suggestions: Drink plenty of hot coca tea; avoid alcohol and heavy meals during the first 24 hours.
Warning Signs: If you experience a persistent headache or nausea, rest immediately and notify our support staff.
Passport and Visas: You must carry your original, valid physical passport. Copies or photos are not accepted for official checkpoints along the route.
Travel Insurance: Having insurance that covers mountain rescue, air medical evacuation, and adventure medical expenses is mandatory for your peace of mind.
Traveler's Manual: Click the button below to download the complete guide covering pre-trip preparation, health tips, and IntiPath Tours' safety protocols.
Layering System: The weather in the Andes changes rapidly; bring a down jacket, windbreaker, quick-dry shirts, and thermal leggings.
Specialized Footwear: Wear waterproof trekking boots with good traction (Vibram soles suggested) to prevent slipping on wet or rocky terrain.
Trekking Poles: We recommend using poles with rubber tips to protect the Inca Trail surface and improve your stability.
Information Briefing: The evening before the scheduled departure, we will meet at your hotel at 6:00 PM for a final briefing with your assigned guide.
Tips & Extras: Tips for the team of porters and cooks are voluntary and are given at the end of the expedition as a token of appreciation.
Detailed Route Map: Download the technical map here, featuring day-by-day elevations, campsites, lunch stops, and checkpoints.
Respecting Heritage: We practice responsible tourism; please do not leave trash on the route and stick to the trails marked by park rangers.
